When I discovered this mobile AI music generation app, I was excited to try it out for myself to see if it could truly deliver a solid experience from start to finish.

How Was My Personal Experience With Donna AI?

I was eager to test out Donna AI’s capacity to consistently generate quality music across different moods and genres.

For the first sample, I asked Donna AI to create an electronic song about lost love with an upbeat rhythm and bass. I opted for a melancholic mood, and the results were impressive.

It took about 3 minutes to produce a track, and the first thing I noticed was that the auto-generated lyrics were quite heartfelt.

The track also came with female vocals that sounded so incredibly authentic, I was initially surprised they were actually AI-generated.

When it came to the instrumental, it was primarily made up of a piano medley with soft drums that did well to give the song a smooth and calming feel.

The only issue I really had was how the generated title and artwork for the song didn’t seem to have anything in common with the track. So, that mismatch was a bit weird.

The music output this time was a bit of a mixed bag. Donna AI produced a grungy track with the amped up classic rock start, decent vocals, and quite the catchy riff.

The lyrics were somewhat inspiring, but quite average, to say the least. I also noticed that it repeatedly implemented certain prompt words like “fight” in the lyrics, which felt a bit lazy.

Also, the song title and artwork were rather boring and generic, which seems to be a recurring problem. Overall, if I had to rate Donna AI here, I’d give it a 6.5/10.

In my final sample test, I wanted to see how it would perform with a more challenging composition of an R&B song about falling in love with someone older than you.

Donna AI produced a slow but charming little track with some groovy guitar riffs that gave the song a calm and hopeful vibe.

However, the lyrics were a bit lacklustre. They didn't seem too imaginative, if anything, they fell a bit flat and didn’t have the level of emotional impact that I would’ve liked.

On the other hand, I will admit the vocals were adequately soft and dreamy, so at least Donna AI performed well in that area.

If I were to score this track composition, I would give Donna AI a 5/10.

What Did I Like About Donna AI?

Overall, Donna AI has a few commendable aspects that can’t be ignored. For one, I find the mobile UI to be simple, smooth, and intuitive, which makes AI music generation a breeze.

I could also switch genres, styles, vocals, and more with no hassle, so producing new tracks was an incredibly effortless experience each time.
